I took that to mean:

Hello. Here be me. I haven't been online much, which (a) sucks, and (b) makes me look sucky, but such is life. What is one to do? Except whine and whine about it, which not only will not solve anything, but will also take up time one can't really afford to spend whining.
So, just as a kind of drive-by post: Because I needed a distraction, I spent about an hour tonight making potential new headers (read: 1.5. I made the .5, had a better idea, switched to that, and liked it so I didn't finish the first one), and therefore I have a new layout. Which is totally the same as the previous one, but with a new header and a different colour scheme (which, as my layout-matching icon will tell you, is not pink. How did this happen?).
I need to sleep more. I deleted a hole bunch of flow-of-conciousness-like text.
Also, I need to write again. And read more. And shush now. I don't even know if any of what I wrote makes sense. Sleep now, then. |

(1) I had the biggest of all headaches last night. That was Not Nice.
(2) It's likely that I'll start a bartending course next week. That should be fun.
(3) I really need to get a job. One of the reasons for this (among various facts and other things I need the money for) is that some friends and I are planning a trip to Ushuaia around July, and I'll need to finance that somehow.
(4) My computer (the one that used to work as it's supposed to, anyway) is at the Computer Doctor. This means, among other things, that I don't have the tools I need to prepare Relatively Urgent School Projects, which is Rather Unsettling. I am now on the Computer That Works When It Feels Like It, which has like 0.9% of the programs I usually use, and none of the ones I actually need for Things That Need To Get Done. Not having Photoshop in this machine (nor PSP, nor any other program of its kind), I thought, "Hey, what a good time to give The Gimp a try!" That turned out to be maybe a sort of tiny adventure; I'm way too used to Photoshop, and this was so like it, and so unlike it. It probably would have been easier if it had had nothing in common with PS, since then I (maybe) wouldn't have kept comparing them and wishing for certain functions I totally couldn't find and stuff. Also, not having a tablet in this PC = hairtearing. Still, I fiddled, and I cropped, and cut, and sucked at it muchly, and was driven crazy by the text tool, but I produced something that resembles a graphic I could be proud of, and since I am oh so shameless, I'll share it:
